Ardagh's Young Creatives Programme

Published: June 8, 2021

Ardagh Group is delighted to partner with the Design Museum and support the unique Ardagh Young Creatives programme. The aim of the programme is to introduce young people aged from 14-16 from under-represented backgrounds to design, engineering and the creative world. Despite COVID challenges, we are delighted to announce that ten students joined the 2021 programme. As part of the design workshop series, members of our team will be delivering a workshop around the versatility and material benefits of glass, complementing the other workshops that focus on materiality, architecture, sustainability and graphic design.

Ardagh Young Creatives aims to foster a more representative and inclusive design industry by transferring skills, talent and lived experience. Mentoring is also a key element of this programme with a variety of companies including Ardagh getting involved to guide, nurture and support the students.

We hope to further expand the programme next year reaching even more young people. Our intent is to inspire participants to strive toward their creative goals and realise the career possibilities in design across all industries.

This initiative ties into our approach to social sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 17 Partnership for the Goals, SDG 4 Quality Education and SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities.
